What: Hoosier Region sponsored event to determine a state champion in each age group
Where: Capitol Sports Center, Plainfield, Indiana
When: Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd, 2010
Who is invited to enter and participate: All registered Hoosier Region club teams
To All Hoosier Region Club Directors:
You are cordially invited to enter and participate in the first annual Hoosier State Championships to be contested over the weekend of May 1st and 2nd. This will be the 2009 - 2010 season's showcase event with the champion in each age division crowned as the Hoosier State Champion.
- Each division will likely compete on only one of the two days of competition. If more than 16 teams enter a particular championship that division will be contested over both days.
- All divisions will compete in pool play followed by a playoff format.
- A Hoosier Region certified official will serve as the # 1 (up) official in every match.
- There will be a formal awards ceremony immediately following the championship match in each division. All teams that finish in 1st or 2nd will receive individual awards as well as team plaques.
- An All Tournament team will be selected in each age division with individual awards for those players chosen.
- Areas for photo opportunities for teams and individual players will be provided.

REGISTRATION
This year's Hoosier Region State Championshipswill be using Advanced Event Systems for its registration process. AES will be the website that is the choice of USA JOVC Girls Championship, National Qualifiers, Regional’s, and many other events throughout the country.
- Go to Advanced Event Systems to register your team and club.
- Click on Create Account if you are a new user. If you already have a username and password, skip to
step 4.
- Next, fill out the Club Director info, creating a username and password and making sure to keep your username and password in an accessible spot for future use.
- Enter your username and password and login.
- Once logged in, add players & staff by clicking on the appropriate link. AES integrated with USAV’s Webpoint system, if your region uses Webpoint, WE HIGHLY recommend using the USAV Import link. (This will save you time)
- Click Teams – add teams
- Enter events – you will build your roster after you select the event, division(s) per team – then click BUILD ROSTER.
- Click on continue.
- Check the entry form box and click print entry form.
- Print form, sign, and send in with check or credit card
information to Capitol Sports Center, 1915 Gladden Road,
Plainfield, IN 46168.
- Make sure that rosters for each team gets updated by the
roster deadline date!
The Capitol Sports Center staff will send out broadcast emails
to inform you of other information and steps as they come available. |
FEATURES
This event will be held at Capitol Sports Center. Note: this
is a two day tournament so the total amount is $475. You must register
on AES to be entered into event. To determine whether this will
be a two day will depend on the number of entries. If an age division
ends up at 16 or more teams then it will be a two day tournament.
We will not know for sure whether it will be a one or two day tournament
until closer to the registration deadline, which is April 15, 2010.
Based on past numbers, if you are entering any of the following
division for the BID (15, 16, 17, 18s) we need a check for $475.
If you are entering 12, 13, and 14 we need a check for $222. Some
of these may change but we are estimating from last year's numbers.
If you pay for a two day and you only play one day, you will receive
a refund, if you pay for a one day and play a two day we will
call you to make up the difference.

division for the COMPETITIVE (16) we need a check for $475. All
other divisions (12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18) will be $222. Some of
these may change but we are estimating from last year's numbers.
If you pay for a two day and you only play one day you will receive

call you to make up the difference.
*Your chaperone must have a registered USAV number at check in
for this tournament.

IMPORTANT
- If your team is entering the Bid Division, you need to make sure that you check out www.indianavolleyball.org to fulfill all requirements of qualifying for Nationals.
- Any team entering the Bid Division is playing for a bid to Nationals. Any team turning down a bid is subject to sanctions from USAV and the Hoosier Region as stated in the Qualifier Manual.
