Scott McQueen

Scott McQueen will be entering his 16th year as a coach at Circle City, coaching at least one year in every age group. This will be his 7th year as co-owner of Circle City and 7th year as coach of the 14-1s.

Scott’s coaching career started as the freshman coach at Martinsville High School, moved to junior varsity at Brebeuf High School, and then to Franklin High School as the head coach for 3 years. His Franklin career culminated in a State Championship Runner-Up in 2001. He has spent the last 10 years as the head coach at Avon High School, winning sectionals every year as well as two regional championships and a state runner up finish in 2011. His club teams have been successful, qualifying for nationals 15 of his 16 years coaching, including a top 10 finish with the 13-1s in 2004, and a top 5 finish with the 14-1s in 2005. Scott has also received numerous coaching awards including Metro Area South Coach of the Year (twice), Metro Area West Coach of the Year (5 times), 4A South Coach of the year (3 times), HCC Coach of the Year (6 times), and 4A State Coach of the Year.

Scott played for the University of Indiana Men’s Club team, winning the Big Ten Leadership award his senior year. He now resides in Plainfield with his wife, Sara, and two daughters, Kyla age 3 and Jaelyn age 1.
