
Sara McQueen started her volleyball career for the Fort Wayne Volleyball Club and Columbia City High School. She continued her playing career at IUPUI, where she started for 4 years and was a member of the 2000 Mid-Continent Conference regular season champions. She finished her career as an All-Conference member in 2001 and as the career kills and attack attempts leader.
Sara's coaching career began as the Junior Varsity coach at Ben Davis High School and has continued the last seven years as a Varsity Assistant at Avon High School. With Circle City, she began at the 16's age level, moving on to the younger 13 and 14's top age group where the focus on fundamentals and court awareness is primarily implemented. This is her 9th year coaching at Circle City and her 8th year as an assistant on a top team in an age group. Of those 8 years, 7 teams have gone on to compete at Nationals where they had notable success, including a top 10 finish with 13-1's in 2004 and a top 5 finish with 14-1's in 2005.
