
Cecelia Tieken is joining us for the first year as a coach here at Circle. For the past two years she has coached the 17 and 18-1’s team for Decatur Force, out of Decatur, Indiana. She was a player at Circle for 6 years. After graduating from Roncalli High School, Cecelia went on to attend the University of Saint Francis (USF), in Fort Wayne, IN. Cecelia coached 7th and 8th grade volleyball for Lincolnview Middle School in Van Wert, OH as well as an assistant for the Varsity team at Lincolnview High School this past season.
While attending USF, Cecelia was a four time starter for the Cougars. She was captain her Junior and Senior year. As a freshman Cecelia received NAIA Freshman of the Year, NAIA All Conference First Team, and NAIA All Region First Team. She also held the record for most kills in one season. Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year Cecelia went on to lead the Cougars in winning seasons. Cecelia also received NAIA All Conference for the remaining three years and received NAIA All Region Player her Senior year. Cecelia went to lead the team in blocking, serves, kills, and second in digs throughout her career.
While still at Roncalli High School, Cecelia was a Varsity starter for the Rebels all four years. She was Captain her Senior year. Cecelia received All County First Team in 2005 and Second Team in 2004. She participated in both the Junior and Senior All Star Tryouts.
