Carl Lucas is in his fifth year as a coach for Circle City. In the past four years he has been an assistant 15’s & 18’s coach and the head coach of 12’s, 13’s, 14’s, 16’s and 18’s teams.

Carl is in his first year as the Head Coach of Ben Davis HS. Prior to Ben Davis, he was the JV Coach at Avon High School. In his three seasons at Avon he amassed a record of 53-10.

Before moving back to Indiana, Carl spent 2 years coaching with the Ichiban VA Volleyball Club in Manassas, Virginia. There he was the 16-1 Assistant Coach for two years and the 14-1 Head Coach for one year.

Carl has also played two years of USAV Men’s Volleyball since returning to Indiana. His team has finished as high as 3rd at the Hoosier Regional Championships.

Carl is a 1996 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, is currently a Major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, spent nearly 11 years as an active duty U.S. Marine Corps Officer, and is a Veteran.
