
Brinton Farrand has coached volleyball at the High School and Club level for 21 years. During that time he spent fourteen years as the Varsity Coach at Mooresville High School and five years as the Varsity Coach at Zionsville High School. He coached club volleyball at Circle City and Indy Juniors for 14 years, working with the 12s, 13s, 16s,17s, and 18s level. More than 25 of his former players went on to play at the college level.
He has been involved with summer camp programs that include college coaching staffs of UCLA, Illinois, BYU, Nebraska, Michigan State, Eastern Kentucky, and Purdue. Coach Farrand's coaching philosophy is a combination of Mike Hebert (current Minnesota Coach), John Cook (current Nebraska coach), and Carl McGowan (Olympic coach).
Brinton was a State finalist for Carmel High School, a national qualifier for Indiana Central and then competed in the Big Ten for Purdue University. He has coached Volleyball, Cross Country, Track, and Wrestling at the varsity High School level, and has run 6 Boston Marathons and ten other marathons in the last ten years. He believes in being not only physically in shape, but mentally ready for any opponent.
