Caron Blotch


John Armuth

Caron played at Circle City for 6 years.  During her High School years she was All-Conference all four years at Franklin Community and also earned State Runner-Up her senior year. She was All-Metro South and All-County all four years.  Her Senior season she was Metro South Player of the Year, County Player of the Year, Indiana South Senior All-Star, Class 4A First Team All-State and Metro Super Team Player of the Year. As a member of the Circle City Volleyball Club she was a two time All-Tournament Team member at USA Junior Olympics in the Open Division and also rated number 15 in the nation by Volleyball Magazine. Caron helped lead her team to the Open Division for Nationals from 14s thru 18s. Her 17s year her team finished 2nd in the 17 Open Division.

As a Freshmen at the University of Texas she was the Big 12 Player of the Week, All-Tournament Team at the Buckeye Invitational and helped lead her team, as the starting setter, to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. After transferring to Western Kentucky her sophomore year, she was Sunbelt Conference Newcomer of the Year and both her Sophomore and Junior years she was 1st Team All-Conference. In 2005 she was Sunbelt Conference Player of the Year, AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, “ESPN The Magazine” Academic All-District IV Second Team, Georgia Tech Tournament MVP and AVCA All-South Region 1st Team. Her team was Sunbelt Conference Champions and NCAA Qualifiers.

This will be Caron’s first year coaching but with her playing experience will be a great addition to our coaching staff.
